Valhalla currently only making one title, says Itagaki

Tomonobu Itagaki has revealed that new developer Valhalla Games Studios is "currently focusing" on making one title.

"We're currently focusing our resources on making one game," said Itagaki speaking to 1UP. "However, we'll probably start a new game near the end of the current project.

"In the long term, it doesn't make sense for a company to only make one game, and so we're also looking at preparations for the next few years."

He also said the new project is "one of a scale on which I have never worked on before": Itagaki previously managed Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive projects at Team Ninja.

Itagaki left Tecmo in summer 2008 over unpaid royalties to him and Team Ninja over the release of Ninja Gaiden II for Xbox 360. He sued the developer, but recently settled out-of-court.

He announced Valhalla Games Studios in a Famitsu interview a couple of weeks ago.
