Forget Uncharted 2, forget God of War III and forget Halo: Reach: Crysis 2 is looking to be the best looking game on consoles.

"We're aiming to set the graphical benchmark," said executive producer, Nathan Camarillo, speaking to PSM3.

"Why would anyone not want to play a game with the best graphics they have ever seen, great gameplay, some engaging fiction, challenging AI, killer weaponry and a complete gaming experience like no other."

He also said that, despite the challenges, developing for PlayStation 3 is something the dev is "happy to accept".

Crysis 2 is set to release sometime between July and September, possibly even on September 25.
