First trailer for Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions released

spiderman

Beenox has released the first video for Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions.

You can get it over on Gamespot and check out some new screens via VideogameZone.

The new Spidey adventure looks very interesting so far, with the video showing two of four dimensions starring our hero. One looking very noir-ish, the other very comic-like from the Amazing Spider-Man era.

The teaser towards the end points to what appears to be a first-person view at some point, but more to is to be promised later, it seems.

Nice tease there Activision.

No word yet on a release date, but it’s coming for PS3, Wii, Xbox 360, and DS per the video.

Looks like their trying to copy the success of “Batman: Arkham Asylum”.

At the start of the trailer i thought it was going to be some sort of Arkham Asylum copy. But then it changed, and as it changed, it looked worst and worst. :S

TO make Spiderman a great game, they first have to remove Activision.

Of course it looks Noir-ish. It’s from the Comicbook Series: Spider-Man Noir.

I’m interested, although this is not something i’d expect. Let’s hope they don’t fuck it up.

Doesn’t look like it would be Sandbox, which is very bad in my opinion. I’ll probably miss the rush of swinging through the city.

Wonder what the other 2 dimensions are. Hope Ultimate Universe is one of them. Or something completely different that i don’t remember now.

They should have taken a different Voice-Actor though. Jimmi Simpson who did the voice of Wesley in Wanted: Weapons of Fate, was the perfect choice. He IS Peter Parker.

One dimension is a beat’em all, the other is a stealth setting, and the third is a FPS. Thats my guess atleast.

And yeah, dosnt look like there’ll be much free roaming going on. That sort of sucks for a Spiderman game.

That looked pretty cool for about the first 20 seconds, then it went very rapidly downhill. It’s no Batman, that’s for sure. Which is a shame, ‘cos Spidey’s easily my favourite Marvel inhabitant.

Marvel need to get thier licences back they really do. They should go to Sony and ask can Sucker Punch make us a Spiderman game they would know what to do with the licence.

I reckon it’ll be Spider-Man 2099 and Ultimate Spider-Man for the other two dimensions. I can’t stand the Ultimate line, but if they do 2099 it should be alright, I suppose.

This just turned up in the EG thread, which apparently is a strong hint that “2099″ will be one of the dimensions.

Marvel Zombie Spider-Man could be fun, but probably not very likely…

In all the images of Zombie Spiderman I’ve seen, he looks a great deal more sinewy, and thread-bare. Shape of 3. is too clean, imo for it to be MZ.
