nvidia

NVIDIA presented a demo of its new Fermi cards, the XLR8 GeForce GTX 480 and XLR8 GeForce GTX 470 at PAX East this weekend, and also announced to attendees when the new cards could be expected.

The presentation showed how the new line will "more than double the performance of its current products" and will ship with 512, 480 or 446 cores, three billion transistors, and 3D support.

Tentatively scheduled for release around mid-April, you can expect to be laying out between $500 and $350 worth of dead presidents for 'em.

The Fermi card line were first demoed back in January.
