Cheyenne Mountain has announced that due to bankruptcy issues, shareholders have passed continued development of Stargate Resistance over to another team.

Now in the hands of Fresh Start Studios, according to a press release from Cheyenne, a receiver has been “assigned by the bankruptcy court to run the company and check out their current financial situation”, per BgDownload.

It’s looking highly probable that Cheyenne’s getting close to shutting its doors. That tends to happen once a receiver takes over.

All Stargate Resistance assets were handed over to Fresh Start, which is currently supporting and updating the game, and it just released one earlier this week.

sweet good news, I thought they went bankrupt. I think that they should focus on star gate single player games for pc than a huge mmo. Maybe even go the guild wars route and release small chapters to create a huge mmo.

Just so that they can get some sort of income coming in while they make the mmo.

A game like Mass Effect in the Stargate universe would be awesome.
