blizzcon09

Blizzard's formally announced Blizzcon 2010, which will take place on Friday, October 22 and Saturday, October 23.

It will once again take place at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California.

It will include the usual gathering of events, sessions, panels and tournaments, plus more.

Last year, Blizzard announced a WoW expansion in the form of Cataclysm, so only God - and Blizzard boss Mike Morhaime - knows what the firm's planning to announce this year.

"BlizzCon offers us a great opportunity to meet with our players and share our enthusiasm for gaming with one of the most passionate communities in the world," said Morhaime. "We're looking forward to providing another great show filled with entertainment, competition, and the latest information about Blizzard Entertainment games."

More details on the event will be announced as it comes closer.
