Madden 11 aims at catching upgrades – first shots

Here we go again. EA Sports has put out the first Madden NFL images and info ahead of the game’s traditional August launch.

IGN has the lot. The shots are on here, the preview’s here.

Tiburon’s developed something called a Catch Debugging Tool to iron out receiver AI niggles, and appears to have been working hard to stop daft anomalies among attacking NPCs in general.

Defenders have received new animation frames to allow them to better intercept the ball, and so on.

To be honest, we know precisely fuck all about American football, and the changes detailed in that preview sound mega-geeky. Read it for yourself.

More Madden 11 news is to be dropped on the official blog today.

Yeah well if they were FIFA upgrades I bet you wouldn’t be saying they sounded mega-geeky, but anyway…sounds good to me, american football is the shit…now only if they would improve the draft and so that the stats of the drafted players are not heavily skewed and unbalanced then I would actually buy a Madden game for the next gen consoles…I’ve been playing it on PS2 still for years since the franchise mode isn’t shit since all they care about now is online franchise and online exhibitions…
