Microsoft’s launched its Game Room via Games for Windows Live, following the release of it today on Xbox Live.

Some folks are having issues with it, just like the XBL version, but when BigDownload logged in, it did not come across any. So, try anyway.

So far, here are the games available for the room:

  • Adventure
  • Armor Battle
  • Asteroids Deluxe
  • Astrosmash
  • Centipede
  • Battlantis
  • Crystal Castles
  • Gravitar
  • Lunar Lander
  • Red Baron
  • Combat
  • Finalizer
  • Football
  • Tempest
  • Jungler
  • Millipede
  • Outlaw
  • Road Fighter
  • Realsports Tennis
  • Sea Battle
  • Scramble
  • Skiing, Mountain Madness/Super Pro
  • Space Armada
  • Space Hawk
  • Shao-lin’s Road (Kicker)
  • Star Raiders
  • Super Cobra
  • Sub Hunt
  • Tutankham
  • Yar’s Revenge

Microsoft said earlier that freezing and hanging issues with the room were being addressed.

I am overwhelmed by the sheer number of games in that list I don’t want to play.

Most of them are shite, but its worth it for Tempest alone.

Gravitar…an excellant game! This is not an easy game and this time-shift option makes it worth replaying for me.

Crystal Castles and Yar’s Revenge bring back good memories.

Just FYI. No need to pay to play stuff like Gravitar, Crystal Castles and Yar’s Revenge when Atari’s put them online for free.

I like game room alot. But I don’t think any of the games are worth paying for. I did buy one of the konami top down shooters(sry forgot the name), it was decent. And yes Tempest is on my list too. But none of them are worth it.

Now if they had game room suport for the past libary of XBLA games….I would enjoy that lots.
