Epic's announced its to open a new studio in Japan, with a formal press conference on April 15.

CEO Tim Sweeney is to meet and greet with the crowd that will be at the conference, which will also be attended by Suda-51, who is currently making a game for EA with Unreal Engine 3.

Epic Lead Designer Cliff Bleszinski won't be at the event, but he will record a video greeting for it.

The expansion is to help Japanese developers get more support with Unreal Engine 3. A previous example of studios in the country using the tech is Square Enix, who used it for The Last Remnant.
