Here’s the tweet:

3 fighters from this past weekends events confirmed for EA SPORTS MMA – @joachimhansen @joshlbarnett @vladthejanitor

Hopefully some screens of the guys will be released soon – especially ones of Vlad mopping up the floor with Barnett.

MMA’s out this year for PS3 and Xbox 360.

The latest screens for it can be found through here.

Without UFC characters, this is like american football game without the NFL licesens. Rather ironic, now that I think about about it.

Barnett already confirmed himself back in 2009. Hansen and Martyushenko have been confirmed too some weeks ago.

If you’re the casual UFC fan then of course you won’t know anyone but Henderson in this game. If you’re a true fan of the MMA sports you will know most of the fighters who appear in this game.

Georges St-Pierre VS Dan Hardy this weekend is looking to be one hell of a fight.
I just hope Hardy puts some effort into wrestling or he’s pretty screwed from the start.
    Get the Excelsior out!

True Shmoo.. that’s your opinion of what a true fan is. I have been watching UFC since UFC1. I have several friends, that along with me, love the sport. However, everyone we know only primarily care about teh UFC. Anything else is 2ndary, minor leagues. Save a few fighters, the best fighters in the world pound for pound are in the UFC. That being said, minor leagues will get my gamefly money, not purchase money.

The best fighters ain’t in the UFC. You just don’t know other great ones. The ones in the UFC are just more famous. Of course UFC has great fighters too and probably some future MMA legends such as St-Pierre but other organisations have fighters of the same level aswell. They just don’t get the attention they deserve. UFC got the advantage here that they were the first organisation back then.
Guys like you can still buy the UFC game. At least you know the fighters there.

That being said, the EA game has already licensed a lot of great fighters and from the looks of the footages the game is going to be awesome. Main thing that matters is the gameplay though.
