Team17 shows “Project X3″ images
Team17′s posted a couple of concept shots of a couple of a Project X revamp on its Facebook page, although it’s said it has “no plans” to actually make the game.
“Here is concept work for ‘Project X3′ a side/vertical scrolling shooter that we’d planned for next-gen console,” said the UK developer.
“We made Project X in 1992 on Amiga and X2 for PSX in 1996. We have no current plans to do the game, but you never know.”
We reckon Team17 should just make it. For a laugh. Go on, Martyn; it looks awesome.

we need a decent HD 2D VERTICAL shooter, that isn’t some crazy bullet hell game, i’d lap it up

I don’t know any robocop quotes, but I certainly agree we need more western seuck games. Bullet hell is okay, but the genre used to be so much more varied. Remember Agony?

Assuming Team 17 will prob green light this if the rest of the Alien Breed trilogy sells more than episode 1 which failed to sell a great deal, still has to be released on PSN so it should sell pretty well. Remember reading an article about it being one of the most expensive XBLA games to be made, but i think that was including the cost of all 3 episodes so looks like they’ll be hoping for it to sell well
