F1 2010 gets new shots

Codemasters has released some new shots of F1 2010.
Get some virtual Force India in your life after the break.
The game got its formal reveal yesterday at a press event in London yesterday. We were invited to go, but we had a clashing of events. And when we say “clashing”, we mean getting drunk on St. Pats. Oh well.
The racer also got its first development diary yesterday. Go watch it here, it’s awesome.
F1 2010 is out this September for PS3, 360 and PC.

I knew the ego engine wouldn’t cut it for f1. why is there so much bloom, so much orange/brown filter.
White now doesn’t equal white but a creamy white.
Still this is CM we’re talking about. grid was like this, so was dirt.

I could careless about the graphics, to be honest. In this gen, unless its an off name dev or a complete cluster of a game, its going to look good.
For me, I will be paying attention to the driving. If it is too hard I won’t buy it. I want to be able to use my wheel and feel like I am in control and not just along for the ride, hanging on for dear life.
Good AI is important too, but for me this game will be played almost exclusivly online for AI may just be moot. Online play balance is a must have. If I get get spun out on purpose, that is a deal breaker. Codies need to take some liberties here and there to ensure the gameplay and protect the authenticity of the racing EXPERIENCE(read: not the hard to handle physics engine). If I can’t handle the car like a real F1 pro(after a far amount of practice, of course) …then what is the point of playing?
I play sports/racing games to play the role of the athlete/driver. I do not play those games to aquire an aperciation for how hard they have to train to be where they are at in their carrer. I don’t need to run, hit the weight room, do reps in order to play Pes/Fifa/Madden. Those games assume that my avatar can perform in their respective roles.
Racing games should be no different.
I want to race other cars, not fight my car around each corner.
