EA welcomes Tiger Woods return

EA’s said the formal announcement yesterday by Tiger Woods that he’s to return to golf next month is very much good news.

Speaking on his personal blog, EA Sports president Peter Moore said: “We’re looking forward to seeing Tiger back on the golf course. All eyes will be on Augusta in a few weeks.”

His return comes after he was out of the game since November, when he admitted to infidelity. However, EA has stood by the golfer, stating as recently as last month it is “supportive” of him.

At GDC last week, EA announced a June 8 release date for the latest edition of Tiger Woods PGA Tour, which will have Move support, but not Natal compatibility.

That wasn’t much of a break.

I guess people finally stopped caring about his personal life. Not that I ever understood why they cared in the first place…
