AvP patch coming to Xbox 360 and PS3

Rebellion has announced that a patch is in the works for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Aliens vs Predator.

The patch is being made possible by looking over player feedback following the game’s launch.

Following updates to the PC, which includes a Dedicated Server client, the company stated on it’s blog:

“We are aware of and grateful to the community for communicating with us and helping this process along. The updates are going through rigorous QA and we hope to have them available publicly very soon.”

Along with the some balancing and weapon tweaks, XBL users will have shorter wait times for ranked matches, and more support for left handed players.

Other modifications include “XP being incorrectly affected by offline play and team balancing logic for applicable modes”.

“We’ve been overwhelmed with the response to AVP and want our fans to know if it’s within our power to keep them happy through on-going support then we shall do so,” said Rebellion CEO Jason Kingesley.

“Some things just can’t be foreseen and it’s great that we are able to respond to requests for modifications in this way.”

New DLC for the game is expected to hit tomorrow, and includes the extra goodies packed with the Special Edition.

I cant really imagine what they could do to balance this, especially for the alien which is pretty much always last in modes with all 3 species. Not much it can do when the other 2 have ranged weapons.
I guess changing the Predators one hit kill weapons would be a start.

To me this game was a huge let down.

Not enough players in each MP Online match. And no depth to it. Had their a been a skill tree and levels. Different classes of Marines. Even different classes of aliens(spitters, drones, huggers, even queen). Same for Preds.

The had potiental and isn’t done badly, but it lacks imagination and becomes dull fast. No way i would play this over BFBC2. Just not enough to it. The SP was decent, was worth a rent. unfortunatly i own the thing.

But not a peep from them about the redundancies at the Oxford studio last week?
