Rein on Gears 3: “You’re kidding, right?”
Epic’s Mark Rein has gotten back to VG247 following today’s Gears of War 3 rumour. What did he say?
Simply put: “You’re kidding, right?”
It was reported this afternoon by Edge that the sequel will be coming on April 8, 2011, with a teaser trailer that would build up the hype in the next three weeks on the same date the game was supposedly due a year later.
But you may consider that rumour shat and pissed on, and then buried out back.

yeah i say rumour is still going. Hell 2k said bioshock would NEVER come to ps3.
What devs say and what they do are so far apart I’m suprised nobody has tried to sue yet for misdirection >_>

With Halo Reach out this fall, I can’t really see room for both. It would give Microsoft a big hitter for early 2011, that’s for sure.

Yeah I guess it makes sense for GoW 3 to be released in 2011. Xbox already has several hits this year, while 2011 seems a bit empty when it comes to exclusives.

Of course 2011 seems empty, we are on the 3rd month of 2010, no doubt by oct 2010 we’ll have tons of games in 2011 to look forward too, hopefully spanning the entire year like this year as publishers have noted you can sell games when ever you like and still take in the numbers.

Whenever it releases, it’ll be the release of the year. No console franchise bar Halo and CoD comes close.
