Dragon Age: Origins – Awakening now available on Marketplace

The first expansion for Dragon Age: Origins, Awakening, is now live on Xbox Live Marketplace.
The download for it comes in at 2Gb, with a added pricetag of 3200 MS points.
Go get it here.
The BioWare RPG expansion should be enough to keep you going until next Ferbruary, when the sequel for the main game is probably due.
PC and 360 retail versions are out on Friday. The PS3 version is download-only in Europe, but does get a retail release in the US.

Using ‘points’ becomes terribly silly once you get into these kinds of figures. Couldn’t they have just stuck a £s price on this one?

Any reviews out for this? Not that it’ll matter, I’ll probably buy it anyway.

Wow, didn’t know it actually came out on marketplace. Good, waiting for it to be out on PC now.

Pat, any chance you could ask the powers that be why this is so much more expensive on consoles vs the PC? Steam have this at £15, yet 3200msp is about £27.50, and the RRP of the disc is £30!
Until this drops in price they can whistle. I’ll see if I can borrow the disc from someone instead.

How does the disc work? Does it export the data onto the HDD like Shivering Isles, or does it play off the disc? Because I have very little hard drive space.

It’ll be an install to HDD jobby like Shivering Isles or the FO3 expansions, as the original DAO disc is needed to play.
I wonder if it needs online authentication though? Doubt it TBH.
