if you remember the first crack down was bundled withe the halo 3 beta, surprised they didn’t do it with halo reach.

I found the first fun but very shallow.

Everyone thought the first Crackdown was ‘sent to die’ as well and look what happened to that!

Crackdown is officially fucking brilliant. If Crackdown 2′s just ‘as good as’ the first one then it’ll be a blast.

On the flip side, it’s a new team using currently existing tech, the game was probably about a quarter of the cost of Wake/Reach/Fable to develop.

What he meant is that compared to Alan Wake, Halo Reach, and Fable 3, CD 2 has hardly recieved the same attention those games have had.

It is looking like Microsofts weakest game in thier exclusives for this year.

I also highly doubt CD 2 will get the same levels of commercial and critical success those other games will recieve either.

Have you paid any attention to this year at all? Nearly every major christmas release was pushed back into the new year simply to avoid the crowded market… and this has inadvertently proven to the entire industry that games can sell millions regardless of when they are released.

See, this is what you call, ‘releasing games throughout the year instead of packing the holiday season’, Good on yer Microsoft, you just made the summer a bit less bare. Sure wish Sony were conducting themselves in similar fashion this year (i.e. stopping the show after GoW3 comes out and waiting until the end of the year to release anything else).

That is unless The Last Guardian gets a surprise release date of late summer at E3 or something.
