GDC: Mafia II rocks the boat in San Fran

mafiaii

Mafia II was shown to a couple of outlets out in San Francisco last night. The consensus seems to be that it pretty much kicked down the door and impressed.

Get everything after the break.

Producer for the title Denby Grace said the game’s overall experience will last over 15 hours when you get the game. Shame we have to wait until Q4 before we do that now, innit.

A new trailer was also released last week, which featured a lot of “boom, boom, boom”.

Go sleep with the fishes below.

Would I be wrong in thinking this will be very much a GTA4 type game?

No, I suspect you’re not far from the truth there.

This is looking so promising at the moment.

It’s just taking too goddamn long though, and last year it looked great, but for some reason the last trailer didn’t look that great at all, in terms of graphics. It looked like it had received a big graphical downgrade.

Finally some hands-on experiences. I have seen this game four times at different events, but there was no chance to go hands-on.
