If you’re in the mood for a bit of offline JRPG action while you’re waiting for FFXIV later this year, you may as well grab the PS3 version of FFXIII. You’ll find some treats inside.

MCV’s reporting that the PS3 version of FFXIII contains in-game FFXIV items, as well as a chance of getting in on the MMO’s beta.

Inside the game’s box is a Square Enix Members Card. There’s a code on it. Stick the code into FFXIV’s site and you’ll get some cool stuff.

If you bought the 360 version of FFXIII, however, you get nothing. That’s right: nothing.

FFXIII releases today in the US and Europe. The HMV kick-off’s about to get going.

Several people have done this successfully, wonderful and all, but I’m still waiting for my e-mail so I can register!!!

No reason an automated e-mail should take this long.

Its not up to Sony, its up to Square. And them saying that you get something extra with the PS3 version probably wouldnt please the guys paying for most of their advertising (MS).
