New Lost Planet 2 trailer features trains and cannons

lostplanet2

Capcom’s released an epic reel of Lost Planet 2 gameplay and cut-scenes, giving a pretty good reason why all trains should have mounted cannons.

Why? Because they look awesome.

There’s over four minutes of stuff in the video below, soaring orchestra and all, and if ever a fantasy actioner looked like it was the real deal, this is it.

There’s a good look at character customisation, “massive enemies” and co-op aspects here, the whole thing stinking of high production values.

Looks cool, promise. It’s out for PS3 and 360 on May 18.

i think its gonna be a real blast, i’m trying to avoid the videos as not to spoil all of the bosses before i get to see them in game

i hope the multiplayer has a lot of depth to it

i really admire the japanese/western artstyle mix of the lp franchise…it´s just right. i was addicted to the postgrab mode in the first one…i wasn´t that much hooked on any other mp after that, cod4, gears, uc2, halo, mw2, were all ok, and probably even much better mp games…but not as cool as the lp mp. to me all the little things count as well, the artdesign, lobby menues etc to make me really love a game…got that same wow experience now with bfbc2 again…and then hopefully again with lp2

“Lost Planet 2 will allow players to create and customize their own characters. Players will be able to customize their characters, and will allow them to unlock more clothing and body types after leveling up and downloading content. The game will also allow players edit weapon models, and color palettes used. However, weapons used in multiplayer will have to be unlocked through leveling up. On 18 February it was reported that the 360 version of the game will have significant cuts in order to make the game fit on a single DVD, the content cut will be available as downloadable content but no confirmation has been given if this content will be charged for or free.”

taken from the Wikipedia page, leveling up and customization…very cool, i remember in the demo, you can collect randomly appearing items off the battlefield to customize your character with
