Mass Effect 2 gets free Arc Projector weapon DLC

BioWare just dropped a new free bit of DLC onto the Cerberus Network in the shape of the Arc Projector.

The heavy weapon does this:

The Arc Projector ionizes targets with a non-visible laser to ready them for a high-voltage electrical attack. As the lightning-like bolt hits its first target, a sophisticated auto-targeting system paints succeeding targets with the ionization laser, allowing the electricity to take the path of least resistance and arc between them. An entire enemy strike team can be shocked to death with a few pulls of the trigger. Careful aiming will also allow the user to arc shots to nearby explosives as well.

Cool. The RPG’s being well-serviced with DLC, as you’d expect. The Firewalker Pack, what with its five new missions and a free tank is next up, releasing later this month.

it’s useless for me right now I have finshed the game with no more missions but thank you bio-ware.

Now that is just fricking awesome, was this DLC even anounced? I don’t recall it, big surprise, i love this.

It’s the little things that count…with many other games all these weapons and that armor would have cost points and this is all free, kudos to Bioware and EA both!

And that Vehicle DLC, when was that coming? Free as well…wow!!!!

Excellent, I need all the weapons I can get for my Insane run of the game. This sounds like it should work particularly well on shielded enemies and Geth….
