Sony signs all six major movie studios for PSN HD films

And we’re off. Sony just announced that 20th Century Fox, Disney, Paramount, Sony Pictures (dur), Universal and Warner Bros. are now all signed to delivery HD movies for the US PSN.
“Securing high definition content from these studios is another significant milestone further validating PlayStation Network as a complete entertainment network in the home. PlayStation Network is the first and only service to deliver high definition home entertainment from all six major studios, directly to consumers for download,” said SCEA’s PSN marketing head, Peter Dille.
“PlayStation Network continues to offer the most comprehensive catalogue of HD movies to PlayStation Network members that realize the wide-ranging entertainment power of the PS3 system.”
At launch, the new content will be available in the US only, although Sony plans to release soon in Britain, France, Germany, and Spain.
New titles available on the US PSN today thanks to the deal include:

Owning a movie studio helps I guess.
Although not one that seems to churn out rubbish. Sony need to keep a hold of the Bond licence I reckon.

Anyone know who Xbox Live has? I’m assuming they have every studio except Sony right?

I would be excited for Disney Pixar films… but every single one is a Blu-ray buy for me.
UP, best film I’ve seen in years.
