Naughty Dog co-founder: Natal might “revolutionise more than gaming”

Naughty Dog co-founder Jason Rubin has told GT’s Bonus Round that Natal may “revolutionise more than gaming”.
Rubin, who left the studio six years ago to form developer Monkey Gods, also said if the camera was bundled with 360 hardware it might become “more than just a gaming machine”.
“I think Natal and things like Natal are going to revolutionise more than gaming,” he said.
“Putting Natal in the Xbox gives it the opportunity to become a lot more than just a gaming machine… the things you can do outside of gaming justifies buying Natal.
He further added: “If Microsoft plays its cards right it can sell far more Xbox’s … to people who don’t buy games.”
Natal is due for a release during the holiday season. According to Michael Pachter, the motion camera’s going to cost $50.

Well ofc it will. It’s going to be a lot more useful out of the gaming area and just for normal everyday use of a pc. Changing options with media center by sitting on the sofa… moving files around… etc. Much better as a pc application.

“Everybody” is convinced about Natal is seems. I’ve no interest at all. I’m eager to know what real games MS will sell with Natal. Personally, I’m sick of those minigames and in case of real games..I don’t see myself racing or playing an FPS without a controller.
