Activision's Dan Amrich has confirmed the Blur beta that was teased at over the weekend will kick off next week.

The launch of the Bizarre racer's beta, pointed at March 1 by a FilePlanet tease, is actually beginning next Monday.

Tokens will be given out beginning tomorrow.

Amrich also said FilePlanet isn't the only place to grab a code.

"Several websites will be launching contests and giving away beta tokens starting on Tuesday, March 2," he said.

"The gameplay sessions that those tokens unlock does not begin until Monday, March 8. This March 1 date that some media sites are reporting is not the right date for the public beta."

No platforms were mentioned, but it looks all but certain it'll be for 360.

Last month, Activision exec Mike Griffith said a beta of the game was forthcoming.

Over the weekend, a new trailer was also  released for the game. It's looking good, so keep an eye on it, innit.

It's due out sometime later this year for PS3, 360 and PC.
