Sin and Punishment 2: Star Successor, Pokemon Heart Gold/Silver, Mega Man 10 and Cave Story all got dates today at Nintendo’s Media Summit in San Francisco.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 detailed in San Francisco – trailer coming today
The Nintendo Media Summit in San Francisco has just seen a large demo of Super Mario Galaxy 2, supplying a bevy of new details on the title.
New goodness shown was the new Spin-Dig Galaxy – and Yoshi.

BFBC2 PC walkthrough video has first look at Rush map
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 producer Anders Gyllenberg has put together a video walkthrough of the PC version of the game, explaining some of the PC specific features as well as a first look at the Rush map, Valparaiso.

Those in the US can still get a free copy of Battlefield 2142 from the EA store with a pre-order of BFBC2 until tomorrow, and if you have not tried the PS3 or Xbox 360 demo – get to getting it, because it goes offline tomorrow as well.
Game’s out March 2 in the US and March 5 in the UK.

EA: New console hardware not feasible at this time
EA’s CFO, Eric Brown, has said that because of the slow adoption of price cuts from the console manufactures coupled with today’s current HD technology, there will not be a quick adoption of new console hardware in the foreseeable future.
Therefore, current generation consoles won’t be going away anytime soon.

SCE to become PlayStation-only [Update]
Update: SCEE’s just sent VG247 a statement on the matter, saying the move is for SCEI only, and won’t affect any regional HQ like SCEE or SCEA.
“This is a rather complicated manoeuvre involving the legal entity SCEI in Japan,” a rep told us. “It has no effect on any regional HQ – ie. SCEA, SCEE etc are totally unaffected by this.”
