PixelJunk Racers: 2nd Lap listed by the ESRB
![]()
The ESRB’s listed PixelJunk Racers: 2nd Lap for PS3.
The listing, which is rated an E, doesn’t confirm if it’s a sequel, an expansion in a similar vein to Monsters or Eden or a spin-off to the original, which was first released in 2007.
If it’s a sequel, it’s not the only one in development at Q Games.
Boss Dylan Cuthbert said recently that PixelJunk Shooter 2 is in the works.
Looks as though these two games may be the way forward for Q. The studio hinted to VG247 during a January visit to the studio by Nathan Grayson that the much-talked about development of PixelJunk Dungeons may never see the light of day.

Not At All, Monsters Was A RTS Which Are The Worst, Where As Eden Was Just A Flat Out Dull Boring Game, Racers Was A Party Game That Could At Least Be Fun To Play, Where As Shooter Is The Only Actual “Good” PJ Game.

While I never played Monsters (I do know enough that it was never an RTS), Eden was fantastic. End of.

You Think You Know But You Don’t.
PlayStation 3 » Strategy » Real-Time » Fantasy
“lnspired by the popular and addictive “tower defense” genre, PixelJunk Monsters takes the simple real-time strategy concept of building, researching and base defending and presents it in a uniquely attractive style. With meticulously hand-drawn 2D art, PixelJunk Monsters recreates the look of a classic with crisp graphics designed for optimal viewing in Full 1080p HD.”

Yeah if you are going to pigeon hole PJMonsters it is an RTS.
I find myself in the uncomfortable position of agreeing with RGW1982 again
. PJRacers is a nice little title. It is a bit too tough but there is a lot to it in terms of interesting modes and different ways to play the core mechanic of slot racing.
