SCEE: Motorstorm 3 domain "should not be interpreted as an announcement"

SCEE's just given VG247 a statement on its recent Motorstorm 3 domain registration , saying it "should not be interpreted as an announcement."

A WhoIs filing has linked "Motorstorm3.com" to the company's HQ in London.

"It's not uncommon for us to secure the URLs containing the names of our successful IP, and those actions should not be interpreted as an announcement of a new title in a franchise," a rep from Sony told us today.

PSP spin-off Arctic Edge aside, there hasn't been a fully-fledged PS3 sequel in the series since the release of Pacific Rift in late 2008.
