Blizzcon 08 attendees to get StarCraft II beta "possibly within the next two weeks"

Blizzard's said that anyone with a StarCraft II beta invite from Blizzcon 2008 that wasn't entered into the game's initial test launch last week will be invited "possibly within the next two weeks".

A company rep said on the Battle.net forums: "Unfortunately, due to the sheer number of BlizzCon attendees, we could not get everyone in with the first wave. Rest assured that if you did not get into the first wave, you will be included in a future wave, possibly within the next two weeks."

Last week - after weeks, months, years and centuries of waiting - StarCraft II's closed beta finally kicked off, as promised by Blizzard boss Mike Morhaime a week earlier.

The three-part RTS is due for launch this during the middle of this year, beginning with the release of Wings of Liberty.
