Wada: Final Fantasy XI not coming to an end
Yoichi Wada has come out and said that Final Fantasy XI is not coming to an end.
The Square Enix president’s comments come after rumours started flying about yesterday that the company was going to shut down the seven year old MMO to make room for Final Fantasy XIV for PC and PS3.
He, however, insists that’s not the case.
“There seems to be a rumor that FFXI is ending, but if that was done, we’d be in trouble,” he said in a tweet.
Well, no worries yet about it closing. You can resume as normal.
Final Fantasy XIV, meanwhile, releases sometime later this year.

Hmm. Making an assumption like that based on an analysis of screenshots released by SquareEnix seems like a bit of a waste of time. Especially when SE have been caught out fucking about with their screenies once this week already.
Once he’s analysing the actual game then he might have a point. Until then, ‘CONFIRMED’ seems a little premature.

I’ll deny nothing if it’s true. But they’re screenshots – he doesn’t even have the game. Who knows what they’ve been through since they left the dev-kit?

Ok, I’ll wait a little longer for real confirmation. BUT, if this turns out to be true, then this will be THE biggest slap to the face MS has ever gotten…yet. Imagine, all that money just for an inferior port. CLASSIC!

It was always going to be an inferior port at the end of the day. If you’ve got the choice then you’d be nuts to go for the 360 version.

Alakratt non biased people who already seen the game in action on the 360 at X10 event or the tour bus say that these pictures have nothing to do with how it really looks like.
Most people say that the “inferiority” of the 360 version is barely noticeable.expect in some in game pre rendered Cutscenes and in CG
Think about it if it was 576p the difference would be huge and witnesses who actually have seen the game in action on both platforms would be the first to spread the news
I think SE does this on purpose with all these questionable pictures.It’s a part of their marketing method.FFXIII being in the center of talk and gaming sites these days thus more hype and advertising even if it’s good or bad
