Sega’s put out the launch trailer for Alien vs Predator.

Get it after the break.

The game’s out now in the US, with a UK release coming tomorrow for PS3, 360 and PC.

Just for the love of God, let’s hope this is the last trailer we have to see. There’s been so many.

It’ll be interesting to see if the prestigious name and the fact that SEGA’s marketing the fuck out of this can out-do the rather sub-par reviews its been getting.

I looked at a few of the reviews of the game but decided to buy it anyway because I enjoyed the limited gameplay in the demo. It arrived this morning from Play.com and I’ve had a bit of a play and I think it’s great. It’s different to the usual games that crop up on a monthly basis and is a breath of fresh air in my opinion.

Singleplayer is rather boring and unnecessary from what I have played but I’m a multiplayer guy anyway and I think this is were the game excels. There are a few bugs as with most games and control wise it takes a bit of time to adjust to each of the 3 species layout but I expect many hours of tense gaming with it over the next year or so.

Sure it may not be everyone’s cup of tea or even a disappointment to some but I am definitely pleased with my purchase and I’m glad I ignored the reviews. Then again, I had great fun for a long time on Shadowrun for similar reasons (unique gameplay) and ignored the reviews. To each his own I suppose. :)

As Gekidami makes a point of, however the game does critically, you can’t fault SEGA’s marketing campaign.
