Moving back on topic and away from that guy though, overall I see the era of exclusive games starting to slip away a bit. As long as there are first party titles, naturally it will never totally die out, but many companies seem to be less concerned with offering exclusive rights to anyone. More platforms means more sales, speaking broadly. Square Enix is likely going to see a big return for their multiplatform release of FFXIII just because they can now get sales from people who don’t own a sony console this time.

And I fully support the loss of exclusive titles. With that practice out of the way, people will be able to buy consoles based solely on what the console developers are offering in terms of hardware, player services like PSN and Live, and first party titles. That’s when things will really take off. Once a developer can’t depend on a contract with a third party game studio to decide their sales, the focus will really be on what their consoles can offer. Capitalism in favor of the buyers! In a console generation where one game is sixty bucks, I like that concept.

Regardless, the MS mic might be “cheap” but that’s a good thing.. it still sounds better than any Conversation on the PS3 I have had (yes I have a BT headset for the PS3). Cheap is a good thing becasue dogs chew them and kids step on them.. and the fact that you can replace them for $10 is fantastic.

Actually Mushroom i own all 3 systems, and “real world experience” shows me that everyone on LIVE is barely audible unless you’re wearing the headset yourself -aka sticking a speaker right up to your ear-, this isnt the case on PS3 where you can actually hear more people properly thanks to better quality mics.

For what it is worth both systems have great exclusive content. xb360 has more, but most of it is a shooter of somesort or another. PS3 exclusives have more range and are vaired more.

But comments from both PR mouth pieces are stupid and out of line, and fully expected. And until their respectives systems can outsell the Wii on a regualer basses…they should both sit down and shut up.

No matter how good their exclsuives are, they are still outsold by Wii Play, Smash Bros, and Mario Kart. ‘Nuff said.
