Crackdown 2 release date is not June 11, says Microsoft [Update]

Update: Or it is out on June 11. Videogamer's updated its article with a screencap of what looks like the Xbox website, showing the date and pre-order incentives of exclusive Agency armour.

Update 2: Microsoft has again reiterated the statement given to us, further adding the page that mentions the date on the Xbox website "was inaccurately updated and the team are working on rectifying this."

Original Story: Microsoft has confirmed to VG247 the June 11 release date apparently given by the firm for Crackdown 2 is "incorrect".

According to a report from Videogamer, the date was set in stone for the UK. But the firm insists that ain't the case.

"I can confirm the article is incorrect and the game is schedule for "later this year"," an MS rep told us.

The company did say in its NPD response last week it would release in June 2010. It soon retracted the date, however, saying it was listed "incorrectly".
