Argos and GAME deals on Xbox 360 Arcade are very reasonable

Saturday, 13th February 2010 21:11 GMT By Stephany Nunneley

Still holding out on buying yourself an Xbox 360 Arcade? Not wanting to put in £159.99 towards one?

Well, Argos has one up on its site for £99.99.

And the deals don’t stop there. GAME has the Arcade up for £149.99 bundled with BioShock 2 and either Gears of War 2, Forza 3, or Halo: ODST.

The one with the original Assassin’s Creed is out of stock, we’re afraid.

Still, nice deals all around for Valentine’s Day this year.

Surely there are more out there, you just have to look.

Thanks, Mike.

I was on my way to criticise this news item… but then you so the same for games, and there’s very little difference really.

Maybe it will. £60 off is nothing to sniff at.

it was £99 over xmas at asda, £109 at GAME and ARGOS. so nothing is new. i think GAME increased the price after JAN to £119 or thereabouts.

    Question: Is it worth it?

whats the difference between arcade and elite? HDD only?

It’s been floating around the £109 at the local asda since new year for me. And, remarkably, I’m still not tempted to buy one.

@ 14 – yeah pretty much. As good a deal as this is I still ain’t getting one cos I’d only be buying it for halo, gears and alan wake.

Plus I’d still need a hard drive and an xbox live subscription too :|

I traded in my old 360 just before Xmas in gamestop.
Got a brand new one for 70 Euro.
Only thing I will say is the lead provided does not allow for your digital sound system.
I went back and got my old lead for it.
    A bit silly really imo.

Id recommend the Mass Effect games Lambda worth a purchase just for those.

Cheap. But not a good entry point for people without 360s already, you really need one with an HDD.

Incidentally, the internets reckon that Sainsburys are going to be doing 120gb Elites for £159 this week.
