Fable III at X10 – all preview, news, interview content rounded up

fableIII2

We’re fucking annoyed. We’re mad. Never been so pissed off about anything. Fable III has no HUD? We’re closing the website. Before we do that, though, we’ll post all the Fable III preview, news and Peter Molyneux interview content from X10 after the break.

Just thought i’d add for all you Molyneux haters out there, his face has been used in Perfect Dark on xbla like Rare always used to put their own and people from nintendo into their games, so everyone can shoot him now if they want to

Just curious….why would one be a ‘molyneux hater’?

@2 He’s very, very enthusiastic about the projects he works on and the ideas he wants those projects to explore, and a lot of people, for whatever reason, seem to interpret that often quite giddy enthusiasm about his upcoming games as promises which are subsequently not lived up to.

That, and people tend to love to hate anyone who is closely tied to one particular platform and, horror of horrors, dares to attempt to promote their product.

Personally, I just see him as a guy who loves his job very much and gets excited about playing with new toys. I think a lot of people envy that.

I’m a Molyneux fanboy. I got a (very brief) chance to meet him once and I’ve never met anyone as passionate and enthusiastic about the games industry. He’s a fantastic ambassador for gaming.

I actually wish that people would ignore the headlines and soundbites and listen to him speak at one of the many conferences he presents at. He’s about as hateable as an Andrex puppy.

He’s made some mistakes, and overhyped a lot… but lets not forget that he’s also apologised publicly for it, and more than that, he’s very wary about what he says in public now (which is actually a shame, because it’s made him nervous, and no-where near as excitable when he talks).

I have nothing against the guy I get that he loves his games
my issue is that Fable 2 was a huge disappointment for me. It was nothing like the original, the story was not as good as the original, the ending was just a huge cop out, pick these three choices. Where the original to get the best sword in the game you had to make a huge sacrifice that is if you only played the original game and not Lost chapters.

And two words made it the best game Jack. :P

For Fable 3 I will keep my eyes on it but I am not holding my breath like I was for Fable 2.

Gotta love his enthusiasm.

Don’t think there is anyone else like him in the industry.

Probably Alex Ward of Criterion being the closest, but Molyneux is the best of the lot.

Like an excited child sometimes. That’s a good thing btw.

Shouldn’t be too surprising when you think about it… or specifically life before MM.

Actually, that sounds like could have been a lot of fun. :)
