Battlefield: Bad Company 2 demo downloaded 2 million times

BFBC2

EA’s announced that the Battlefield: Bad Company 2 demo has been downloaded over 2 million times since it was released two weeks back on PSN and Xbox Live.

Currently, the DICE taster is on its way to becoming the fastest download from EA ever in the first five days it became available to download. The company also said the multiplayer beta for PC is also being met with “great success”.

“This massive rush to experience the game early is proof positive that action gamers are looking for more,” said senior producer of the shooter, Patrick Bach. “Battlefield: Bad Company 2 delivers on every front. This is intelligent, strategic warfare that our competitors simply cannot replicate.”

Bad Company 2 is out on March 2 and March 5 in the US and UK respectively for PS3, 360 and PC.

Still want to try this, but no room left on the crappy XBox HD due to Mass Effect 2 install.

What idiot thought a 20gb hard drive would be enough.

Actually it’s neither, as there are seperate PC and console versions. According to the developers it’s not going to be a port at all.

Not really sold on the multiplayer. As broken as MW2 multiplayer may be at the moment. No other online multiplayer offers the instant gratification it does.

It Better Then MW2 Being MW2 Is Directed At 6 Year Olds, But Then Again Battlefield Is Directed At 12 Year Olds So That Leaves Much To Be Desired, Hopefully Medal Of Honor Capitalizes On This & Directs It’s Game Towards Adults Instead Of Children.

@RGW

Dude, we know your f*****g opinion already. Its like you try to criticize anything remotely popular. You are doing a great job of not conforming! I am sure the emo/punk kids would love to have you in their crew.

As for actually discussing this news…
I downloaded the demo and started playing immediately. I am loving it, but it definitely doesn’t take away from my Modern Warfare playtime. My only complaint is how difficult it is to rank up. I have played for about 3 hours, won all but one match, and have a positive k/d ratio, but I am yet to rank up once!
