Nomura confirms Kingdom Hearts III will happen sometime
Tetsuya Nomura has told Famitsu Kingdom Hearts III will happen at somepoint.
Huzzah!
The series’s creator told the magazine fans have been pushing him for a sequel.
“Fans and partners alike are pressing us for it, so we’ll work to realize it as soon as possible,” said Nomura.
He wouldn’t confirm if development would be carried out in Osaka – where the portable spin-off, Birth by Sleep, was made – or in Tokyo, where development on Nomura’s current project, Final Fantasy Versus XIII for PS3, as well as Kingdom Hearts I and II took place.

You can bet your bottom ass bitch that Kingdom Hearts III, or any Nomura game, will end up being a PlayStation title.
The only exception to that is 358/2 Days for DS.
Other then that, it’s a PS3 title.
Bet on it.

Don’t think it will be on PS3 as we only have 2 more years til they announce the next gen consoles they currently aren’t developing it. Tetsuya is currently in the middle of development for Versus so unless they are giving to the studio that develops the DS series…

Wii would’ve seemed like a sure bet a few years back, but Squenix’s Wii stuff has hardly been flying off the shelves. I think they’ll stick with Playstation…. unless they make it a PSP game. Ooh, controversial!

Back then, you could actually get away with releasing a title on one single format, because that one single format had more units sold in 3 years than the current core gaming consoles (PS3 and 360) have sold in the same time combined.
It’s not going to be single platform unless Square Enix intentionally want to kill itself.

i doubt a title that would sell decent in the west would not be multiplatform. There is still room for niche exclusives that wouldn’t sell on 360 but Kingdom Hearts surely not.
