Rockstar throwing PS3 event for GTA IV
Rockstar’s announced that it’s holding a multiplayer event for Grand Theft Auto IV later tonight.
It’s a doubles event, so you need to get a friend and partner up. It’ll run from 4pm to 7pm EST (9pm to 12am GMT).
The PSNs you need to add are:
- RockstarMulti1
- RockstarMulti2
- RockstarMulti3
- RockstarMulti4
To access the multiplayer, you need to bring up Niko’s cell phone, games and Team Deathmatch.
If you can’t get in, there will be a streaming feed and live chat at Rockstar’s Social Club.
It’ll hopefully get you in the mood for the upcoming release of The Lost and Damned and Gay Tony for PS3.

A little late don’t you think? I’m sure there is still a small audience who plays but I feel like timed exclusivity really is a “fuck you” to gamers. I’m sure many who really enjoyed GTAIV traded the game because the DLC was long said to not be coming to that console.

@1 Its because they want to make big announcements at Sony’s E3 2010. They just want PS3 users to respond a little bit. To show them little love.
But yeah, its true about “Fuck you” to gamers.

It’s no fuck you. Heck, some companies wont host SHIT.. Not to mention Microsoft pay way more money for GTA4 and exclusives over Sony, yet they still host some cool events on PS3..
Besides, only the hardcore and fans will come in and play it!
There will be 2 RockStar games announced for PS3 exclusively.. hmm GTA5? or GTA San Andreas type of game?

Still you cant knock Sony for trying to make an event out of it.
I mean lots of PS3 owners who liked the game will want it I am sure so no harm really.
