LA Noire no longer PS3 exclusive, says GI

LA Noire

Game Informer writer Matthew Kato has confirmed the once PlayStation 3-exclusive of LA Noire is… well, no longer exclusive.

It’s still coming to PS3, but is also releasing on Xbox 360 now as well.

“It’s not a PS3-exclusive. It was at one point, but it’s coming out for the PS3 and 360,” said Kato.

It was previously thought to be coming to PS3, 360 and PC.

After being in limbo for nearly three-and-a-half years, the Team Bondi-developed title will get a reveal in the magazine in its next issue, it was revealed last night.

I love the premise, but I’m a little concerned that all I’ve heard about it are delays and how many problems they’ve had with the development.

I’ll reserve judgement until we see proper footage… but I’m intrigued by the setting.

Wish they were showing Agent instead.though.:p

It has said next gen platforms on the dev site for well over a year now, no surprise at all. hopefully this will mean a bigger dev budget and thus a more polished game …. maybe

I prefer these kind of games for PC…

Oh well… PS3 version for me but seriously, why no love for PC version?

Well, considering most multiplat titles outsell ps3 at around at least 2:1 on 360, it makes sense not to hold it platform exclusive, imo. Throwing money down the drain.

Mike it depends on a deal. Its not the time where Xbox 360 games outsel PS3 games 2:1. They are almost close to each other.

No LA Noir as exclusive then Agent for PS3 as exclusive.

vgchartz.com there are EU numbers.

Its not 2:1 and never was. In US i agree, but there are many countries beyond US.

loki go fuck yourself :) PC is obviously the better system compared to ps3, xbox and wii. It just takes some balls to be able to run a PC and know exactly what your doing.

true… but they don’t sell as much in other countries… and Money is the King of all countries.. so you go with the biggest King.

Mike, yeah that truth about U.S because the Xbox 360 higher about 7 or 6 million in U.S, but if you consider EU, and JP in some Times
that well make huge difference.

I don’t think Japanese sales of games made by Western devs for a Western audience really make any difference what so ever, tbh.

Listen, this isn’t a competition. The bottom line is that devs and publishers make their money on software, and the 360 shifts loads of it, so ignore the lions share in the market is pretty much shooting yourself in the face. It’s not rocket science.

Sorry Mike, but you’re talking way too much sense there.

You clearly don’t belong in these comments.

Mike, My point is that I don`t agree in 2:1 Regardless [ CoD ]
which make 2:1 but other games, for me I don`t think so.

i thought this was old Sony got Agent exclusive instead.

Mike there are some games which sell as many or as more on ps3 even though there are what, eight million fewer ps3′s out there? Forgot about those games I see and just chose some which fit your agrument nicely.

I think FF 13 will be the big multi platform game that sells better on the Ps3 going of JRPG sales on the 360 anyway. Anyway on topic im optimistic about LA noire Rockstar rarely make a bad game

We already knew this, didn’t we? The project appears to be… somewhat troubled anyway. My expectations are set to ‘really bloody low’.

My impressions of the situation are that… well, Team Bondhi was like, a dozen people when the game got pitched and sold, so they spend the first couple of years basically hiring people and making their engine, and now they are now in full production.

You gotta understand that there are two types of teams in the world. The big studio’s that have hundreds of people working relentless hours for 1 to 2 years, and the smaller teams, that take 3+ years to make a product but have probably 30-50 core people. id was pretty much like that, you see their games and they can usually fit the entire team onto a single page for the credits.
