THQ to release 1-3 core titles a year, focus on Xbox 360 and PS3

THQ CEO and president Brian Farrell revealed during the company’s Q3 2010 financial call that the firm pplans to only release one to two core titles per year, and will focus on the Darksiders and UFC franchises.
Focusing on its better selling franchises, gamers can expect more titles from Darksiders, Homefront, and thanks to selling over 3.5 million units to date – more UFC games other than the one expected in May.
Farrell also revealed that the company plans to focus on Xbox 360 and PS3 titles with multi-year development cycles, as the two consoles bring in more cash – more or less.
It was revealed that WWE vs Raw moved 3.5 million units and The Biggest Loser was the number one fitness title in Q3.
The call is still ongoing, anything else interesting coming out of it will be posted.

They’re going to commit heavily to UFC games, without first seeing what happens when they’re not the only option in that space? Why do they warn about judging value of investments based on past performance.
