Direct2Drive’s launched a European branch of its digital distribution store, catering specifically to European customers.

The new store provides customers living in continental Europe with the convenience of purchasing download-to-own PC and Mac games in Euros.

To celebrate the launch of the new store, D2D’s teaming up with publishers to host a series of price promotions, starting with THQ – who are offering 50 percent off all available games until February 9.

Right now, Red Faction Guerrilla is an even better THQ deal at 75 percent off.

Celeberate? There’s absolutely nothing to celebrate – all it means is that instead of being able to get certain games from the UK or US site for a reasonable price, D2D will now lock EU customers into buying games in euros, which means having to pay £55 for a new PC game instead of £30-35.

    Fucking huzzah.
