BioWare video shows off Blood Dragon Armor in Mass Effect 2

blooddragonarmor

Those who already own Dragon Age: Origins received a code for the Blood Dragon Armor, which is also usable in Mass Effect 2, although it will look more spacey.

Announced back in October, the armor code is only redeemable once but if you bought the game used, you can get it for $10 through the EA store.

However, those who don’t have DAO, should know what they’re missing out on – increased power damage by 15 percent and shield strength by 10 percent – so BigDownload has posted a video showing it off.

It’s posted below the break.

ME2 was released on January 26 in the US and January 29 in Europe.

so the code does not work in ME2 if you already used it in DA:O?

I have to say this all the DLC armor is a waste of time. Because you have to deal with seeing your character in a suit and helmet. THe helmet does not go away during convo so you are missing out on seeing your sheperd. That is if you want to see him/her. With all the DLC armor I have I have only used it once and notice there was no toggle for helmets. Utter fail on Bioware.

@moeti

No once you activate it on DAO the download appears in the network for you to get. You can activate the armor on the site and it will reappear on your game va the Network.

Odd thing is, the helmets *do* disappear in Dragon Age during conversation, which is great. I guess they figured that it makes more sense in a sci-fi game for someone to keep their helmet on.

Mind you, the Dragon Armour still looks cool in Mass Effect 2. The mouth-pieces flashes as you talk, and he sounds like he’s talking through a speaker, which is pretty awesome. Nice little touches for what is essentially a free piece of content if you already own Dragon Age: Origins.

Personally.. the mouth movement in ME2 is horrible, so i prefer the helmet.

I’ve been using this armor since launch day. (PC version)

Ruins the cutscenes that require drinking, kissing, etc. I find the mouth movement pretty good. TO each their own just disappointed at Bioware for this when the first game had a toggle.

The cutscenes that involve kissing (etc) are all on board the Normandy, so you’re wearing your civvies then anyway.

It does make drinking look freaky though. :D

There are a few kissing scenes off the Normandy.

I can only think of one, and you’re in civvies for that too.

I can think of two the asari from Feros if you kept her alive and Liara if she was a LI.

Fair enough, I thought Liara was a hug, not a kiss. I think I recall the green Asari being a kiss though.

Depends on wether or not your character had a thing with Liara, in wich case they kiss and the green one just implies she’d like to go on a date sometime.
