Sega: European Yakuza 3 to have Japanese voice-overs

Sega’s just told VG247 that the European version of Yakuza 3 will contain only Japanese voice-overs with English subtitles.

The news follows a Sega of America rep saying in a 1UP podcast that the game’s US version will include an English VO.

SCEE: Vidzone is world’s “biggest dedicated music video streaming application”

SCEE’s claimed that PS3′s Vidzone is the “biggest dedicated music video streaming application in the world,” with more than 2 million users having watched 200 million videos in its first six months.

Vidzone’s reach covers 18 countries. The service includes interviews and behind-the-scenes footage as well as videos.

UK charts: Modern Warfare 2 top for eighth week

Modern Warfare 2 is the UK number one for the eighth week in a row, Chart-Track said today.

Apparently this is the longest unbeaten run at the top of the British chart since Need for Speed: Underground 2 five years ago.

Dragon Age to Return to Ostagar with DLC tomorrow

A piece of Dragon Age: Origins DLC titled Return to Ostagar is to release for both 360 and PC tomorrow, BioWare’s announced.

A PS3 version will emerge “later in January”.

25 EA games to face online chop

EA’s announced that it’s to shut down online servers for 25 of its games, including various versions of NBA 07, 08 and 09; FIFA 07 for PS2, PSP and PC; Madden NFL 09 on the original Xbox, Wii and PSP; Facebreaker; and Champions League 07 for PC and 360.

New Gran Turismo 5 trailer looks awesome, shows Rome and Madrid

A new GT5 trailer was shown at the Asia Games Show in Hong Kong over Christmas. Obviously, it looked awesome.

The footage showed off more of Rome and Madrid, as well as brand new rally and NASCAR material.

New Game + mode confirmed for Mass Effect 2

BioWare has confirmed that Mass Effect 2 will benefit from a New Game + mode, as did the original RPG.

Previously, the developer had said the mode wouldn’t appear in the game, but a post on the BioWare forums has put an official stamp on the volte-face.

Dead Space 2 – first shots

Look at this, Shirley: the first screens of Dead Space 2. Go find them over at TVGB. Look nice, don’t they? These are actually from the 3D diorama Game Informer did last month (thanks, psxman).

Most of them show Issac and the Necromorphs trying to kill the shit out of each other.

No date yet for the horror, but this year is a safe bet. The game was announced last month.
