Decision on Chinese WoW to be made soon

It seems that a decision of World of Warcraft’s short-term future in China is about to be sorted.

A JLM Pacific Epoch report (via GP), has claimed that the country’s GAPP and Ministry of Culture has prepared sanctions for Chinese WoW operator, NetEase.

What’s Bayonetta developer Platinum Games got planned for its next outing? We have no idea. But we’re willing to bet that this mesmerizing new countdown clock – which combines the best parts of a fireworks show and a disco ball – might have something to do with it.

BioShock 2 – new screens, pawn marketing

2K’s stuck out some lovely new BioShock 2 shots today – see Gamespot – as well as sending out invitations to various bods to something called the International Order of the Pawns.

Each card, according to the the game’s forums, is unique with its own number. Only 100 have been made.

What could it all mean? The game’s out for PC, PS3 and 360 on February 9. Thanks, BigDownload.

Demon’s Souls gets Japanese Best

Amazon’s listing Demon’s Souls for a Best release in Japan on February 25.

The new SKU’s to cost ¥3,230, discounted down from ¥3,800.

Nothing official, obviously, but a nice nod to an apparently excellent game. We say “apparently” because our US copy still hasn’t arrived. Not good, yo.

More Mafia II screens send a message, boss

Gamespot’s got some new Mafia II screens: they’re full of men looking like Robert de Niro.

The crime adventure’s confirmed for T2′s third quarter, which means it’s out between the beginning of May and the end of July this year.
