Rumor: EA to revive NBA Jam as a Wii-exclusive

We had no idea it was abnormal for professional basketball players to catch on fire until well-past our childhood years. Why? NBA Jam. Big heads, bigger dunks, and spontaneous combustion meant that NBA Jam could never be accurate – but damn was it ever fun. And now, according to ESPN‘s sources, the high-flying franchise is gearing up for a comeback.

Vigil explains Darksiders’ lack of multiplayer, DLC

What’s more fun than slashing up apocalypse-born beasties with a scythe while riding on molten fire horses? While “nothing” is a tempting answer, we’re gonna have to go with “slashing up human opponents with said pointy implement.” Or at least, that’s what we assume. We have no way of actually knowing, because Darksiders is a single-player only affair. But why?

Capcom – RE: Darkside Chronicles sales are a “disappointment”

Capcom France’s Antoine Seux has told Gamekult (thanks, Nintendo Everything) that it was very disappointed with Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles sales.
Seux said he feels Wii users have “moved on” from hardcore games, causing a lack of publisher support in 2010.

Girl power: Nielsen figures 52% of US PSP owners are female

US market research firm Nielsen has claimed that 52 percent of PSP owners are female.
According to more number-crunching, 49 percent of Wii owners are female, and 45 percent of total active gamers are also female.
