CES: Natal runs at 30 frames per second

Amid all the release dates and sales numbers at Microsoft’s CES keynote last night, the company dropped some tech info on Natal: apparently, the motion-sensing system runs at 30 frames per second.

CES: First Modern Warfare 2 DLC on 360 this spring

Microsoft has reiterated that the first Modern Warfare 2 DLC will be coming exclusively to Xbox 360 first.
The company also confirmed that the new DLC, details of which are currently unknown, will be released this spring.

Sony CES Keynote: Hirai: PS3 sold 3.8 million in December

Original Story: During Sony’s CES event, SCE president Kaz Hirai said that over 3.8 million PlayStation 3 units were shipped worldwide in December, with 1.7 million units sold in the US alone.

Microsoft Game Room gets trailered, boasts over 1000 games

More news, Microsoft’s CES keynote? Oh no, we couldn’t! But if you insist…
The Game Room’s set to be “the place to relive the glory days of arcade games, with over 1000 games being released throughout the next three years.” Games can be purchased for 240-400 Microsoft Points, or played once for the paltry, arcade-style fee of 40 Points.
It’s out for Xbox 360 and Games for Windows Live this spring.
Microsoft’s released the first trailer of the totally meta Game Room. Check out the game where you play as an Avatar that’s playing old games after the break, courtesy of Joystiq.

Microsoft to announce Xbox Game Room and 2010 Natal launch tonight

Microsoft’s Channel 9 community site has accidentally posted a video interview with Robbie Bach, President of the Entertainment & Devices Division, before the company’s annual CES press conference set for 6:30pm PST tonight.
Apparently, the pulled video (which can be found here, 11 minutes in -thanks Whizzo, and here, thanks Dutch) discussed the Xbox Game Room and confirms that Natal will launch this year.

Sega of America confirms Japanese VOs, English subs for Yakuza 3

Sega of America has told VG247 that the US edition of Yakuza 3 will contain Japanese voiceovers with English subtitles.
The company’s European arm told us on Monday that the EU version will also contain English subs and Japanese VOs.
