Awakening to raise Dragon Age level cap into the “mid-to-high 30s”
The level cap for recently-announced add-on Dragon Age: Origins – Awakening will extend to somewhere in the mid-to-high 30s, according to BioWare.

Wada: Japanese retailers are prejudiced against Western games
Square bossman Yoichi Wada has told Edge that western games don’t do well in Japan, and it has less to do with the consumer and more to do with retail outlets that are prejudiced towards “overseas titles”.

New SSFIV vids show Cody vs Ryu, Adon vs Ken
Capcom just dropped two new SSFIV vids out of CES, both of which are posted after the break.
These show the fighters fans are having most of a fanny about – Adon and Cody – going toe-to-toe with Ryu and Ken.

NPD reckons 2010 will “be a really exciting year” for games industry
NPD’s Anita Frazier reckons 2010 will be a “really exciting year” for the games industry, with Q1 to possibly be the “biggest quarter in videogame history” thanks to titles that slipped from 2009.

GameStop reports second-highest Holiday sales figures ever
GameStop has reported that 2009 Holiday sales for the company were the second-highest ever, and would have beat out 2008 numbers if not for item shortages, winter storms, and economic weakness.

Report – Treyarch’s Vietnam Call of Duty out in November
