Rare says it “makes sense” to allow publishers to use its characters
Rare has said that to keep its characters in the public eye, it’s considering allowing more publishers to use its creations in third-party games.

Splinter Cell: Conviction movie hints to Sam Fisher’s emotional state
By emotional state, we mean pissed off and out for revenge, and so does Victor Coste – the private military contractor who worked with Sam Fisher in the past.
Telling men who have him sitting in a dark room, with a very bright light pointed in his face, that he “would not want to be” them right now, he definitely makes it sound like Sam’s off his rocker.
Splinter Cell: Conviction was delayed into April, so that Ubisoft could give it a bit of spit and polish. Watch the video below, courtesy of Joystiq.

Industry analysts claim investors are unhappy with EA management
EA’s forecast for FY10 revealed this week has been met with disappointment from investors, according to industry and investment analysts who feel that something “drastic” has to happen to turn things around for EA.
This lack of investor confidence has put CEO John Riccitiello in an unenviable position, causing Janco Partners analyst Mike Hickey to state that Riccitiello’s “inability to execute on his performance objectives this year could put him at risk”.

New Assassin’s Creed game “not tied to AC2 DLC”
Ubi’s confirmed to VG247 that the new Assassin’s Creed game revealed in a financial report yesterday has nothing to do with planned Assassin’s Creed II add-ons.

Reggie: “No HD loss for Wii customers” with Netflix movie service
NOA’s Reggie Fils-Aime chatted to CNBC yesterday about Nintendo’s deal with Netflix, telling the news outlet that because there’s not a lot of HD content through the streaming movie service, Wii customers won’t even miss higher resolutions.
