Command & Conquer 4 public Beta to begin “soon”
Command and Conquer community manager Aaron Kaufman has tweeted that the C&C4 Beta will be going live soon.
“Command and Conquer 4 beta will be going public very soon,” read the tweet (via D’toid). “Every RTS fan in the world can give Command and Conquer 4 multiplayer a test drive.”
Apparently, the Beta is to be “done in conjunction with Gamespot”, with more details expected this week on the official C&C website.
The full game is set for release on March 16 in the US and March 19 in Europe.
It’s a PC only affair, and it’s quite possible that after this iteration, the series could become online only in the future.

Gamespot though. I recall the last time they hosted a beta. It wasn’t pretty.

I don’t play RTS games online, there’s too much of people using cheap ass moves to win over and over will little actual strategy involved, so after this one, I’m out.
