CliffyB: Capcom approached Epic over Gears cameos for LP2
Epic Games’ Cliff Bleszinski has said that it was Capcom who approached the company over the cameo appearences of Marcus and Dom from Gears of War in Lost Planet 2.
The deal was down to both firms being “mutual fans of each other’s work.”
“They [Capcom] contacted us about the cameo and we said ‘heck yeah,” said Bleszinski.
“We’re mutual fans of each other’s work and crossovers are darned cool so we sent over the Marcus and Dom models for implementation.”
This was the “kick ass news” Bleszinski was referring to yesterday, but said this morning to keep an eye out on “megaton face melting news“.
Lost Planet 2 was dated yesterday for a May 18 release worldwide, except Japan, who get it two days later on May 20.

Please tell me this was the ‘face melting news’ that he had planned?
I seriously doubt it, but it’d give me a new reason to laugh at Cliffy B if it is.
