March 19 UK date for GoW III is tracking date only, says SCEE

SCEE's told VG247 that a March 19 UK release of God of War III that has popped up today is only a tracking date thus far, and not the confirmed release date yet.

It comes as several sites, including WonderWall Web and Electronic Theatre, reported the date was signed, seal and delievered within the past hour.

But a Sony rep gave us the following statement:

"That is the date we're tracking for the UK but it's not confirmed."

The firm's told us already to expect a UK date "in a few weeks."

Sony already had the game down for March 25 in Japan, while SCEA has it penned in for release on March 16, according to GameStop.

A bundle for the actioner is also planned.
